Realtors Need to Begin Outsourcing

Yesterday Mike Bowler asked me via twitter “What are the top ten items a VA can provide a Realtor?”

Mike Bowler on Twitter1

MIke Bowler, also known as MIRealEstate on twitter, is a long time Broker and owns PRETEC – Professional Resources, E-Business, Technology, Education, & Consulting. (I recently purchased the National Association of Realtors ePro course through him so I could earn the designation).

My response was:
“I can’t answer that in less than 140! LOL But THE top item would be peace of mind that the details are taken care of.”

  1. lead management
  2. listing uploads
  3. presentation creation
  4. social media set up
  5. blog creation/maintenance
  6. newsletter creation/distribution
  7. writing/managing email drip campaigns
  8. setting up MLS searches
  9. setting up online profiles
  10. technical resource which saves the Realtors having to research answers themselves

“That’s 10 off the top of my head but how they are prioritized is unique to the client.”

I had much more to say about outsourcing to virtual assistants so I sent him an email, which he was kind enough to post on his blog. I provided Mike with a longer sample list of the types of work a Realtor can outsource to a Virtual Assistant as well as ideas on how to find the right VA. Visit MikeBowler.net to read his article.

Pat, as you rightly state, the devil truly is in the details. From my vantage point, one of the real “pain points” of a real estate professional is dealing with content generation and adding that content to blogs and websites – “it’s called implementation”. If real estate websites and blogs are to be “trusted resources” they must be dynamic and not static.

The two-fold benefit of consistent website/blog content generation is consumers quickly realize your portals offer timely, reliable information which sets you apart as a local area expert and trusted adviser.

The second benefit is Google rewards you by moving you up the search results ladder because you have consistently contributed to overall good of the www.

Of course, none of this happens if agents and brokers fail to generate SEO-rich content and have it uploaded to their websites and blogs. VA’s provide valuable assistance to the agent community with this service.

Hello, my name is Dan. I live in Vancouver, Canada. I have bought a few real estate investor programs from various Gurus: Armando Montelango, Dean Graziosi, Preston Ely, Lee Kearney, Monica Main & Jack Bosch. I would like to become a Real Estate VA & market my services to the Canadian & American markets. I'm not a licensed agent, but I am interested in the process of buying & selling properties. At this moment I am researching the path to take in becoming a VA & focusing this niche.
If you have suggestions of how I may proceed to be a valuable resource in this niche, please contact me. Thank you.
