While there&#039;s still a role for traditional marketing, I agree that social media channels gives real estate/business professionals an opportunity to be active participants and establish relationships with their customers and prospective customers long before the sale.   

Another thing that goes hand-in-hand with that (and maybe a subject of a future newsletter you write for NOCBOR?) is the importance of establishing what Stefan and I referred to as &quot;listening posts.&quot;  The idea being that, as active participants in the social media space, it helps to have technologies working on our behalf to proactively help us become aware when snippets of topics we care about occur in conversations &quot;somewwhere&quot; the social web.  That&#039;s what helps keep the dialog and conversation going.
