Lise approached us after her website had been hacked on GoDaddy’s web servers.  As with many busy entrepreneurs, she didn’t realize WordPress websites need ongoing security updates. She let the site do what it was intended for; a business card for her therapy and coaching business.  Unfortunately, after being hacked it could no longer fulfill its intended use.  It was unreachable.

Her business needed a new online presence. One that was hosted in a secure environment and could be updated regularly.  She needed a psychotherapist and life coach website redesign!

When Lise's site was hacked she needed someone to rescue it and get her business card back online quickly. We presented a one-page option for easier updates, and built it around what she loved about her original site.  We updated the look to be more modern and included some new images. The content was also reviewed, edited, and adjusted.  Along with being mobile responsive, the overall design is now more SEO friendly, too.

Case Summary

After spending a few hours chatting with her about her goals for the site and its future, we quickly realized her out of date site needed a design overhaul more in tune with current search engine standards. That meant getting rid of all the titles and fonts built as images instead of a text format the search engines could read, and ultimately, recommend when her target market searched for her services.

Her goal was to simplify her website so it would be less costly to rebuild, while being easier to maintain. She wanted to clarify her services to be easily understood to visitors looking for therapy or coaching.

We moved the social proof testimonials from a single page to being peppered throughout the content to ensure visitors were aware of her positive reviews and her extensive experience.

We tightened up the text and made recommendations on first person consistency in the descriptions. We also directed the focus of the content to the problems her potential clients were experiencing and the successes they would achieve.

Now her future clients looking for an insurance-covered Psychotherapist or a Life Coach, can see an understand the complete array of services she offers.
