Replenology Multi-National Store

Offering products that rejuvenate thinning hair, Replenology is a certified environmentally responsible, natural and vegan nutrient replenishment system, scientifically formulated to address more than 21 known causes of hair loss.

Replenology approached us initially to troubleshoot a slow site built by another design firm. After investigating the issues, getting feedback from customers and users, we ended up designing and building them a new storefront that became so much more!

The Management team at Replenology had contracted another web design firm to build their websites which included a main information-based website, an American store, and a Canadian store. They also had a separate wholesale site for resellers. We were hired to fix the American store so that it would be a better user experience for their buyers.

Our clients also wanted to adjust their product offering. Their products were only sold as a package and as a subscription but they wanted to offer the products for sale individually, too. We created a multi-page shopping cart system to replace the single page, single product system they had been offering.

Case Summary

The Replenology storefront was rendering too slowly for customers to easily purchase products. It was designed as a single page site with one product collection for sale as a one-time purchase or as a monthly subscription. There was no cart. It heavily relied on graphics and plugins which were negatively impacting speed and SEO.

CyberCletch recommended our Delve service to determine what would drive the marketplace to purchase the product. After reviewing the real-time video feedback from users it became apparent there was not enough information to build trust on the shopping cart page. The business owners had not understood that Google sends visitors to any page on the site not always the home page on the educational portion of the site.

After interviewing past and current clients we discovered there was more issues with logging in under the account for users who had previously purchased and the customer journey was not straightforward to users.

As a result, the final Delve wireframe included information and links about the product, the guarantee, as well as multiple options for purchasing the products individually as well as by the set and by subscription.

Replenology management chose to contract us to rebuild the storefront with a new design of their preference which would focus on the natural ingredients and the benefits of the product. Our web designer presented several custom graphic layouts and they chose and approved the design that was right for them.

Taking into account the feedback, along with the products, the home page focused on trust-building with a guarantee, before and after shots, testimonials, educational information and videos. The one page checkout became a full store with shopping cart.

The website we built for then determines where the user is browsing from and displays either American or Canadian pricing and shipping. It also has the ability to offer coupons or discounts to resellers. There are banners on products for sales. Customers can log into their own account and make payment changes and track orders.

We provided technical SEO on the site to ensure it served pages quickly. The custom design also required mobile display customizations. The folks at Replenology loved the new site so much they consolidated all their websites into the one we built. It not only has been proven to increase sales but they've reduced their expenses from four websites into one.
