Leprechauns: More Trouble Than They’re Worth

March 15, 2012 By Pat Williams

You've heard the legend, catch a leprechaun and he'll take you to the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You'll be rich! What you may not realize is that the leprechaun wants to keep that gold for himself. He's mischievous, he's devious, his sole purpose is to fool you and do what he chooses. He'd rather spend his time dancing instead of responding to your beck and call. If you've got time to deal with the leprechaun's games by micromanaging his every move, the riches at the end of the … [Read more...] about Leprechauns: More Trouble Than They’re Worth

MIVA Conference 2009

October 17, 2009 By Pat Williams

I attended my second Michigan Virtual Assistants conference this month in Ann Arbor. I love this gathering because it's small and intimate, we really have the opportunity to get to know the others in attendance. I spent the evening before and after in a suite with four women I got to know last June during the FoVA conference in Niagara Falls. A couple of other Michigan VA's joined us on Friday night during our wine and food session. We had two speakers on conference day. Lauren Pibworth … [Read more...] about MIVA Conference 2009

Still Available: VA Blitz

October 15, 2009 By Pat Williams

Although the official VA Blitz day has come and gone, all three participating entities are still available to you. Yesterday several members from the Michigan Virtual Assistant Association (MIVA) spent the day in BIGGBY Coffee locations throughout Southeast Michigan. For a suggested donation to Operation Kid Equip (OKE) patrons could request a free 25 minute consultation with a virtual assistant. The purpose of the Michigan Virtual Assistants organization is to promote Michigan VA's and … [Read more...] about Still Available: VA Blitz

Realtors Need to Begin Outsourcing

August 27, 2009 By Pat Williams

Yesterday Mike Bowler asked me via twitter "What are the top ten items a VA can provide a Realtor?" MIke Bowler, also known as MIRealEstate on twitter, is a long time Broker and owns PRETEC – Professional Resources, E-Business, Technology, Education, & Consulting. (I recently purchased the National Association of Realtors ePro course through him so I could earn the designation). My response was: "I can't answer that in less than 140! LOL But THE top item would be peace of mind that … [Read more...] about Realtors Need to Begin Outsourcing

Falling into FoVA

June 17, 2009 By Pat Williams

Last year I attended my first virtual assistant networking conference. I’ve been working in this industry a long time but never felt the need to connect with other Virtual Assistants. My business was successful, I had no time to spend on frivolous networking activities that would surely focus on how to get more business... which I didn’t want. A year ago I found myself in turmoil about the direction of CyberCletch LLC and decided to attend the Michigan Virtual Assistant’s Conference in Ann … [Read more...] about Falling into FoVA
